Billie Floyd Yeager's Obituary
YEAGER, BILLIE (MINNIE FLOYD) Born May 18, 1913 went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, March 26, 2008. She was born in Paris, TX to William and Minnie Ann Floyd. She lived in Paris till the age of 33 attending Paris Business College. Approximately in 1946 she moved to Dallas where she worked for Dryfus & Son. She met her future husband, Reid Yeager, through her co-worker, Sara Reid. Shortly thereafter they were married and one year later, at ages 53 and 41, they were surprised with a son, Jim Yeager. In 1956 they joined Ridgewood Park United Methodist Church. Through the years they were actively involved in many positions in the church, but most important to them was their membership in the Amlin class. She was also active in United Methodist Women, Merriman Park Garden Club, and Ladies Elk Club. Billie is preceded in death by her husband Reid; three brothers, Tommy, Earl and Roscoe Floyd, and three sisters, Lillie Lamb and Marie Cali and Gertrude Salter. She is survived by her son, Jim Yeager of Dallas; daughter, Patricia and husband Dave Shaw of Ft. Smith, AR and numerous nieces and nephews. All had a special place in her heart.
