Billy Wayne Boyles' Obituary
Billy Wayne Boyles was born January 2, 1947, in Bisbee, Arizona, son of Clarence and Lucille Boyles. He passed away peacefully on July 29, 2024. Bill is survived by his brother, Glyn Boyles and sister-in-law, Mary Boyles and his nieces, Connie Hearn, Laura Philips, Katherine Nelson, and nephew, Glyn Boyles Jr.
Bill was a graduate of Bisbee High School, AZ where he was a star football player. He received his BA from Arizona State University and after graduating from ASU, Bill moved to Dallas to study for his Masters degree at the University of Texas, Dallas. Bill went to work in the investment division of Southland Corporation where he excelled in his career for many years.
Bill was a devoted fan of The Dallas Cowboys, and his love of sports let to his affiliation with Dallas All Sports Association and the Field Scovell Scholarship Foundation where he served on the foundation board. He reveled in finding deserving scholar athletes and awarding them for their accomplishments.
Bill moved to Palm Springs, CA after retirement and frequently traveled to Victoria, Canada. Due to his health, he moved back to Dallas in 2018 to be closer to his family. Bill will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.
Viewing will be at Restland Funeral Home & Cemetery, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas on Friday, August 9th from 6-8 PM. Memorial Services in the Restland Wildwood Chapel will be on Saturday, August 10th at 2 PM.
