Billy Wayne Clinton, born on April 19, 1947, in Fort Worth, Texas, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2025, at the age of 77. Billy, affectionately known as Bill, was a devoted husband, father, Grandaddy, and friend. He is survived by his loving wife, Peggy Clinton, his children, Charles Clinton (Alicia Clinton) and Andrew Clinton (Malia Clinton), and his cherished grandchildren, Jacob, Aidan, Carter, Dane, and Marlow. He married Peggy on March 10, 1972, and together they built a life filled with love, faith, and family.
Bill's life was marked by his deep love for his family and his unwavering faith. He was a long-term member of Audubon Park Baptist Church and most recently Wildwood Baptist Church, where he served in the choir and as a deacon, ministering to the widows of the church. His commitment to his faith was evident in his service and dedication to his church community.
Bill earned his Divinity Degree at Free Will Baptist College in Nashville and was ordained as a pastor. His calling brought him back to Texas, where he pastored the Free Will Baptist Church in Mesquite. Bill earned his MBA at Abilene Christian College. He worked for AT&T for 30 years where he assisted customers with U-verse issues. Bill's passion for helping others extended beyond his pastoral duties; he was known for his kindness, generosity, and willingness to lend a hand to anyone in need.
In his leisure time, Bill enjoyed spending time with his family, golfing, skiing, and serving in the church. He was an avid fan of Fox News, basketball, girls' softball, and the Texas Rangers. His love for sports was matched only by his love for his family and his faith.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, William Charles Clinton and Nina Mae Sparks Clinton, and brother, Gary Lynn Clinton.
