Billy F. Collard's Obituary
COLLARD, BILLY F. born February 14, 1933 in Honey Grove, Texas to E. Fred Collard and M. Maxine Evans Collard. Billy graduated from Forest Avenue High School and East Texas State University, now Texas A&M – Commerce. He served in the U.S. Army from June 1956 through June 1958, and the Army Reserves from June 1958 through 1961. On July 7, 1957 he married Janice Crow in Sulphur Springs, Texas. After a long career in health insurance claims for Republic National Life, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and Anthem, he began a second career with Hyatt Pre-Pak, Fresh Express and Taylor Farms of Texas, Inc. from which he retired February 2009. He is survived by his wife of 56 years Janice (Jan) Collard; son, Gary Collard; daughter, Lori Collard McGill and husband, Kevin; grandchildren: Jeffrey Collard (Jennifer), John Collard (Julie), Kevin McGill Jr. (Chris Anne), Kiernan McGill and Keaton McGill; great grandchildren: Hannah and Jackson Collard, Ariel Collard and Nolan McGill; and sister, Ann and husband, Robert Orr. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM, Friday, November 1, 2013 at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 12:30 PM, Saturday, November 2, 2013 at Restland Memorial Chapel.
