Billy Jean Collie's Obituary
Billy Jean (Gordy) Collie passed from this Earth and went to be with our Lord Saturday April 18, 2009, from complications of Alzheimer’s. Billy Jean was born December 1, 1927 in Eagle Lake, Texas to W.S. Gordy and Eugenia (Buras) Gordy. She married Stanley Thomas Collie on August 25, 1946 and they were married 51 years and 1 week when he died on August 31, 1997. She and Tom lived at 632 Winchester, Richardson, TX for 40 years and she was an active member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church during that time. She retired after 25 years from State Farm Insurance. She loved her family, pets and gardening. For the past three years Billy Jean has been in the loving care of the wonderful staff at The Gardens of Chisholm Trail in Keene, Texas. Billy Jean is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Debbie and Craig Bryan of Plano, and Virginia and Art Rodriguez of Wylie, and foster son Bishop Antonio Rodriguez Lopez of Mexico; grandson Chad Bryan and wife Lisa of Sachse, granddaughter Kelley Savage and husband Scott of Ft. Worth, grandson Art Rodriguez, Jr. and wife Lindsey of Arlington, and grandson Jesse Thomas Rodriguez of Arlington; great-grandchildren Caiden and Hailey Savage, Kayla Bryan, Hope and Grace Rodriguez. Other family members include sisters-in-law Billie Jean Collie and Joyce Gordy and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
