Billy Jack Davis' Obituary
Billy Jack Davis, age 81, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on February 15, 2023, in Carrollton, Texas. He was born on June 27,1941, in Milburn, Oklahoma, to his parents, Beatrice (Martin) and James Perry Davis.
Billy Jack married the love of his life, Reba Bellomy on September 6,1958, in Dallas, Texas. He served his country in the United States Army from 1958 - 1962. Billy Jack was a retired Police Officer, most recently with the Irving Police Department. He also served with the FBI and Texas Rangers. Billy Jack loved country music and recorded many songs. He played with the Police Band and traveled to children’s hospitals in the Metroplex and several other places at Christmas to entertain the children. He also had his own band, The Texas Cherokee Flyboy, which traveled all around the Dallas Ft. Worth area bringing happiness to many people. Bill also loved woodworking and making wood pieces for his family and friends. He really loved his plane and enjoyed taking aerial photography. He was a member of the Lodge, Shriners, and the Police Association.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his grandparents, brother, James, sister, Frances: and nephew Mark.
Billy Jack is survived by his wife of 64 years Reba Davis; daughters, Kathy Smith (her husband, Al) and Gloria Nehrke (her husband, Fred); son, Billy Wayne Davis (his wife, Kim) grandchildren, Ryan Casey Nehrke (his wife, Lizbeth) and Brittany Vera (her husband, Jaryd); great-grandchildren, Levi Vera, Luke Vera, and Lynk Vera, and many loving friends.
