Billy Ray Davis' Obituary
Billy Ray (Bill) Davis, 77, of Plano, died April 26, 2025, after an illness.
He was born on August 9, 1947, to Rubye and John Davis in Graham, Texas. Bill accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior at the First Methodist Church of Stanton, Texas, as a young child. Bill is currently a member of Stonebriar Community Church in Frisco.
Bill graduated from Stanton High School where he played football and was active in the FFA program. He graduated from Texas Tech University with a BS in History in 1969.
While at Texas Tech he met the love of his life Loydene Wimberley, and they were married in Midland, Texas, on November 2, 1968.
Throughout his career Bill was key in numerous sales positions and management. His successes were in part as a result of his interactions with people to create good will, leading to personal and corporate successes. Bill retired as Vice President and General Manager of Control Systems International, America's System Division in 2002.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rubye and John Davis, a brother Tom Davis, and two sisters, Betty Fenton and Sue Koen. Bill is survived by his wife Loydene, a nephew John Bradley Davis and wife Laura of Medina, Texas, and a niece Natalie and her husband Danny O'Brian of Denton, Texas, and other extended family members.
We all can remember Bill with the greatest fondness for his good stories, unending jokes, and lots of laughter!! Those days will be missed......

Per Bill's wishes, there will not be a formal visitation, and the casket will remain closed for his service. A graveside memorial service is scheduled for Tuesday, May 6, 2025, 12:00 Noon at Restland's Whispering Waters Mausoleum Crypt, located at 13005 Greenville Ave., Dallas, Texas 75243.
