Billy D. Voss' Obituary
Billy Voss passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2017 at his home in Scurry, Texas. He was born June 18th, 1938 in Waco Texas. Billy was a retired truck driver who loved traveling the roads with his wife Barbara. He loved to spend time with his family and have cookouts and watch NASCAR and football. He loved to be surrounded by his family and friends and talk about the good old days, go fishing and he loved to sit in his shop by a fire and watch old westerns. He was married to his wife Barbara Ann Voss for 57 years. Those left to cherish his memory are wife Barbara Voss, Son Dennis Voss and wife Linda, Son Larry Voss, 6 grand- children and 6 great grandchildren, Sister Wanda Mayo and husband Gerald, Sister Pat Voss Schmitz and numerous nieces and nephews, extended family and a host of friends. He is preceded in death by his father Elton Voss, mother Bessie Voss, son Robert Voss, brother Kenneth Voss, brother James Voss SR, brother Gary Voss, brother Mark Voss. Pallbearers: Jerry Mayo, Jason Schmitz, Tyler Voss, Trent Barnes, Kenny Voss, James Voss Jr. Dylan Van horn and Richard Kirkpatrick. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at Restland Funeral Home. The service for Billy Voss will be held at 2:30 PM, Thursday, January 26, 2017 in The Memorial Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. Burial will be held at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Scurry, Texas. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75243.
