Billy Dale Evans' Obituary
EVANS, BILLY DALE Born in Teague, TX, Bill Evans grew up in East Dallas and is a 1951 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School. He served in the US Army was a member of the Dallas police reserves and the Civil Air Patrol. Bill was a commercial grade pilot and later worked as a mechanical engineer for several Dallas/Fort Worth technology companies, including Texas Instruments and Motorola. After retirement, he brought his enthusiasm for aviation to the Frontiers of Flight Museum where he was an avid volunteer and docent. He was a man of many interests and talents, including flying, woodworking, sailing, diving, and breeding and showing pure-bred dogs. Bill was an inspiration to the many people who knew and loved him. Preceded in death by his parents, Marie and L.B. Evans. Billy is survived by wife, Elizabeth Sue Evans; daughter, Adrienne Evans Fernandez and husband Francis; sister, Susan Evans Hello and husband Scott D.; brother, David Lee Evans; niece, Amy Gavin; and nephew, Scott B. Hello. A celebration of Bill’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, make donations to the Frontier of Flights Museum, 6911 Lemmon Ave, Dallas, TX 75209.
