Billy Wayne Green's Obituary
Billy Wayne Green, 84, left this earthly home on July 9, 2022 and was from Mesquite, Texas. He was born October 25, 1937 to Wayne Vernon “Snooks” Green and Bernice Maude Shields Green. Billy was raised in Wolfe City, Texas and graduated from Wolfe City High School in 1955.
Billy was married to his high school sweetheart, Beverly Jean Green on June 16, 1956. They had two children, Terry Michael and Sherri Michelle. He retired from FedEx and enjoyed fishing and hunting at his father “Snooks” ranch. He loved camping and taking the grandkids in his camper trailer. The trips in the RV to New Mexico and the Ozarks with family were a favorite. Billy loved watching his grandkids dance at football games, play sports, and perform in church musicals.
He is preceded in death by his father, Vernon; his mother, Bernice; sister, Shirley and beloved wife, Beverly. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Terry Green (Maralee) and Sherri Berson (Craig), four granddaughters, Rebecca Lee Green, Caroline Alyssa Green, Reagan Michelle Smith and Sidney Brook Carpenter (Case).
Celebration of Life service will begin at 10:00 am Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at Shiloh Terrace Baptist Church with a visitation at 9:00 am. Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
