Billy Wortham Lacy's Obituary
LACY, BILLY WORTHAM was born July 30, 1924, passed away July 24, 2014. Bill is survived by loving wife of 64 years, Mildred; children, Laura and husband, Frank Holaday, Billy Wortham Lacy and wife, Cathy Swafford Lacy; grandchildren, Bobby Holaday, Lacy Holaday Sands and husband, Clayton Sands, Bryan Holaday and wife, Ashley Thomas Holaday, Lance Wortham Lacy and Kelly Lacy; great grandson, Thomas Holaday. Bill was a long-time member of Oak Lawn United Methodist Church. Bill was a life-long resident of Dallas attending North Dallas High, class of 1941. A World War II and Korean War veteran, first in the infantry and later the Air Force. He attended SMU graduating with a BBA degree in 1949. He was a member of Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity. Worked with the Boy Scouts serving as den and scout master. He worked as a manufacturing representative most of his business life, selling office furniture and products. Bill was an avid woodcarver. Visitation will be held from 1:00-4:00 pm, Sunday, July 27, 2014 at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 am, Monday, July 28, 2014 at Oak Lawn United Methodist Church with Dr. Anna Hasemann-Butler officiating.
