I was sad to hear of Bill’s passing. I worked for Bill “back in the day” for about five years around 1975-1980. Some of my best memories were from working in that group and of Bill. RIP Bill.

Bill, I’m really sorry to see you go. We put in a lot of good hours at TI, and a few bad ones, but you sure did more than your share. Your talents were great, and I have always been in awe when you said, “I think I’ll build us a computer, so we can learn how they work.” And, not long after, the locally famous “Model T” computer was up and running, which allowed me to get my first hands-on experience with a real computer. You were one of a kind, and I cherish our friendship for so many years.
Bill, I’m truly sorry to see you go. We had a lot in common, including the great years at TI. I always admired you for your design skills that I could barely understand, much less duplicate. “I think I’ll build a computer…..” you said one day, and shortly the locally famous Model T computer was up and running, and giving me my first hands-on experience, one of the more meaningful events of my engineering life. Thanks for being such a good friend and making my life better.
I am so sad to lose Bill and send my most sincere sympathy to you. Bill had the gift to always make me smile. Opal Glaze – PLHS Class of 1950
You are in my thoughts and prayers during this time of sorrow. May your memories be a source of comfort to you.
We send prayers and sympathy. We do not have words that will adequately express the depth of sorrow we share with you.
