Billy Howard Thomas' Obituary
Billy Howard Thomas, 84, of Corinth, Texas passed away on March 2, 2020 in Denton. He was born on October 31, 1935 to George C. and Iva L. (Stone) Thomas in Delia, Texas.
In 1954, he joined the Army and served 20 years until he retired in 1974. He dedicated 20 years with Richardson ISD. He also worked for Lowes for several years. Bill is preceded in death by his first wife, Carol Thomas; siblings, Ada Lee Thomas Langley, Jay Nelle Thomas, Betty Humphries, Dorsey Thomas, and Bob Thomas; his son and stepson, Stephen Thomas and Jackie Stevens II. He is survived by his wife, Vivian Ann Thomas of Corinth; daughter, Lisa Thomas of Prescott, AR; stepdaughter, Bonnie Mohr and husband, Robert of Denton; son, Andrew Thomas and wife, Katherine of Richardson; grandchildren, Laura Thomas, Christopher Thomas, and Anna Mohr Phelan and husband, Billy; daughter in law, Judy Thomas of Cedar Hill. He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
The Thomas Family would like to extend their sincere appreciation and gratitude to all the doctors and nursing staff at Medical City in Denton, and the VITAS Healthcare and Hospice care team.
Visitation will begin at noon with a graveside service to follow at 1:00 p.m. in the Garden of Good Shepherd at Restland Cemetery.
