Billye Evelyn Godwin's Obituary
Billye Evelyn Godwin, age 83, of Dallas, Texas passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 10, 2012 at Doctors Hospital. She was born on 8/13/1928 in Kosse, Texas to her parents, Bunyon and Bertha Brown. Billye was one of 6 children. She married Ernest Godwin in Waxahachie, Texas on February 1, 1945. They have 4 children. She was a lifelong resident of Dallas, Texas. Billye was a member of Urban Park Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed listening to gospel music and participating in church activities. Billye will be remembered by her loving husband Ernie and their children: Jonathan and Marcia Godwin, Tom Godwin and Teresa Hurley, Nancy and Joe Normandin, and Cindy and Jeff Daniel. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jonathan & Shelly Godwin, Michelle & Jeremy Nunley, Matt & Alli Kelso, Angela & Scott Wisecarver, Robin & Mike Cieszinski, and Molly Daniel; and seven greatgrandchildren Lindsay Olsen,Lainey Godwin, Macy Mottley, Jackson Wisecarver, Gage Wisecarver, Madilyn Kelso, and Joseph Cieszinski. Relatives and friends are invited to a celebration of life for Billye at 12:30 on Saturday, June 16th at Wildwood Chapel, Restland Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Restland in the Garden of Ascension. Visitation for friends and family will be held at Restland Funeral Home on Friday, June 15th, from 6:00pm to 8:00 pm.
