Billye Faye Williams LaBarba's Obituary
LABARBA, BILLYE FAYE WILLIAMS was born on February 5, 1926 to Mary Elizabeth and Farrell Williams in Wylie, Texas. She graduated from Wylie High School and moved to Dallas where she met the love of her life, Joe LaBarba after he returned from WWII serving in the US Navy in the South Pacific. They married 4 months later and celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary just months before he passed away in October of 2006. Billye and Joe had three beloved daughters, seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Joe and Billye worked side by side their entire lives creating several successful businesses along the way, the last being Joe LaBarba Permit Service which still remains in the family. Billye was a role model for her girls both as a strong business woman and as a loving mother and grandmother. She always put her family first by being involved in her children’s and grandchildren’s lives and activities. She was truly beautiful inside and out. She was known for her kindness and had many friends. Billye and Joe loved singing and dancing in the East Dallas Kiwanis Club productions, vacationing in New Mexico, and entertaining with friends at their lake house. Billye is survived by her daughters, Nancy Elizabeth Scott, Patti Lynn Garner and son-in-law, Michael Garner, Jody Prospere and husband, Reed Prospere; seven grandchildren, Ashley Scott Halsey, Andrew Scott, Ethan Garner and wife, Brooke Garner, Leah Garner Orsini and husband, Michael Orsini, Mary Peyton, Wade and Chase Prospere; two great-grandchildren, Tanner and Addison Halsey, and brother, Charles Williams and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Joe LaBarba and her sister, Martha Louise Stewart and son-in-law, Stephen F Scott. She will be dearly missed on this earth but is now reunited with her loving husband forever. Services will be held at 3:00PM on Tuesday, December 24, 2013 at Restland Memorial Chapel.
