Birdie S. Anstrand's Obituary
Birdie (Sims) Anstrand of Dallas, Tx., passed from this life on May 12, 2022 at the age of 90. She was born on September 04, 1931, to Richard O. and Orie Lee Sims near Brownsboro, Tx. After graduating high school she attended St, Vincent Nursing School in Little Rock, Ar.. After graduating as a registered nurse, she worked her entire life as a R.N. until her retirement in 1997 to stay home and take care of her sick husband Jim. She had a deep love for nursing and said many times, she would do it all over again if she could. Birdie was baptized as a young girl into the Church of Christ. Her current membership was at White Rock / Meadow View Church of Christ in Dallas. Birdie is proceeded in death by her loving husband James (Jim) Anstrand, her parents Richard and Orie Lee (Sowell) Sims, Sisters, Elva (Ellis) Fowler, Daisy (Elmo) Johnson, Violet Cox and brothers Richard (Louise) Sims and James (Wanda) Sims. Also proceeded by a Niece, Irma (Bill) Hartnady and Nephew Elmo (Sonny) Johnson. She is survived by one niece and six nephews. Funeral arrangements will be by Restland Funeral Home, Dallas, Tx
