Blondell Deal Lewis August 23, 1933 – August 18, 2015 On the morning of August 18, 2015, Blondell went Home to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ after a long illness while being comforted by family. Blondell Lewis was born in Chipley, FL on August 23, 1933. She was the youngest of Carlton and Jennie Deal’s five children. Her grandparents, aunts, and uncles raised her and her siblings after their parents’ untimely deaths. Blondell married her high school sweetheart, Olis L. Lewis, and together they came to Texas in the late 1950s to raise their three adorable children. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Blondell loved her family unconditionally and sacrificially. More often than not, she showed this love through countless delicious southern meals. Blondell worked as an electronic technician at Texas Instruments for over 20 years where she was esteemed by her colleagues and rose to the top of her field. An avid golfer for much of her life, she also enjoyed fishing and gardening. Blondell was preceded in death by her parents, her four siblings, and a great grandson. Blondell is survived by her beloved husband of over 60 years, their children Lamar and Linda Lewis of Napa, CA, Dell and Patsy Lewis of Rowlett, TX, and Joan and Mark Flynt of Rockwall, TX, 7 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Friday, August 21, 2015 from 6:00 – 8:00PM at Restland Funeral Home. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2015 at 11:00AM in The Memorial Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
