Bob Diggs Brown's Obituary
Bob Diggs was born on July 1, 1918 in Chicago, Illinois and raised in Duncan, Oklahoma. He graduated from Oklahoma State University as a mechanical engineer and among his many achievements and honor’s, he was elected Big Man on campus. Bob served in the Persian Gulf Command during World War II, as a major in the army from 1942-1946. Shorty afterwards, he began working for Halliburton where he remained for 42 years, retiring as Vice President in charge of sales and marketing. Dallas has been his home for the last 10 months. Bob is survived by his wife, Audrey; four children, Margaret Newport of Dallas, Marilyn Mange of Brazil, Marcia Menand of France, and Bob Diggs Brown Jr. of Colorado; four grandchildren, Monica Johnson of Los Angeles, Denise Mange of New York City, Matthieu and Margaux Menand of France; one great-grandson, Luke Johnson. Over his 96 years, Bob Diggs Brown never lost his zest for living, and saying, “ I love people and I love life.” The visitation for Bob will be held on Friday, October 10, 2014 from 6:00-8:00pm at Restland Funeral Home.
