Bobbie Cowley's Obituary
Bobbie Merrell Olds Cowley passed away April 19, 2019 and will rest in peace until Jesus Christ calls her name. Bobbie was born April 27, 1939 in Lamesa, Texas to JH and Cleavy Olds.Bobbie was raised and was actively involved in Pentecostal Church growing up. She sung in the choir and played the piano throughout her teenage years. She met and married the love of her life Thomas Darrell Cowley on May 8, 1956 and were married for 35 years. During their union they had 6 children. Bobbie obtained her nursing license in the early 70’s and worked at several health care systems in the North Texas area.Bobbie professed her life to Christ and cherished praising the Lord. Bobbie loved to read her Bible, praying for and with others, spending time with her family, laughing and always wearing a smile on her face. She was a loving and caring person, a devoted wife, mother and friend. To know her was to love her.Bobbie was preceded in death by the love of her life, Thomas Darrell Cowley! Her parents James H Olds and Cleavy Mae Olds, 2 brothers Carl and Bill Olds and 4 sisters, Bertie, Dell, Betty and Faye.She leaves to cherish her memories 2 daughters, Shelby Roberts (Michael) of Rowlett, Texas, Kim Wright (Chris) of Rowlett, Texas, 4 sons, Darrell Cowley (Nancy) of Parthenon, Arkansas, Stan Cowley (Kim) of Wills Point, Texas, Tom Cowley of Garland, Texas and Aaron Cowley (Stacie) of Post, Texas. 8 grandchildren Christopher Roberts (Tumonie), Amber Mardis (Eric), Jeremy Wright, Deon Graham (Shawn), Justin Cowley, Cassie Cowley (Omar), Presley Poonpanich (Paul), Camryn and 13 great grandchildren. One brother James Olds (Janie) of Pueblo, Colorado and sister, Joyce Stokes (Lari) of Lubbock, Texas and many nieces, nephews and friends.Family will receive friends on Monday, April 22nd from 6 – 8 pm. Graveside services will be Tuesday, April 23rd at 2 pm. Both will be at Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Ave, Dallas, Texas 75243.Funeral arrangements for Mrs. Bobbie Merrell Cowley have been faithfully entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Cemetery, which is located at 13005 Greenville Ave., at the intersection of Restland Road, Dallas, Texas 75243, and can be reached at (972) 238-7111.
