Bobbie Calvin Hope's Obituary
Funeral services for Bobbie Calvin Hope, 88, will be held Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at 12:30pm Wildwood Chapel, Restland Funeral Home, Dallas Texas. Bob was born April 29, 1928 in Elmo, Texas to Jesse Preston Hope and Rosa Jane Duggan Hope and passed away January 12, 2017 in Dallas. Mr. Hope served in U. S. Army during the Korean War and was a graduate of NTSU. Bob was a Mason who gave his time and labor to others. Bob always had a smile, quick wit and complimenting words. After a career in sales, Bob worked for Penrod Drilling in Dallas. In retirement, Bob continued to work as a perfectionitis handy-man. He enjoyed being with family and especially his grandkids. Bob was a good steward of the land, always improving the farm. His love for the outdoors was evident with his hunting, fishing, and camping trips. Preceded in death by his parents, sisters; Juanita Nance, Ruth Anders, Janie Sullivan and Rose Clark, Brothers; Johnny Hope and Joe Hope. Survived by sons Kyle Hope and wife Cindy and Kent Hope and wife Lynn, mother of his children, Earlene Hope. Grandchildren; Erin Hope Allen and husband Jordan, Ryan Hope, Logan Hope and Garret Hope; Great-granddaughter Gentry Hope Allen and many nieces nephews, relatives and friends. In addition, survived by his long-time partner Carole Angus and her children and family. Pallbearers are Ryan Hope, Logan Hope, Garret Hope, Quinten Hope, Jess Krodel and Jeff Clark. Honorary Pallbearers are Jordan Allen, John Krodel, Billy Krodel, Aron Nance, Jeff Hope, Preston Sullivan and Paul Clark. In lieu of flowers, a One-Time Honor & Memorial Gift can be made in Bob Hope’s name to the National Parkinson Foundation. www.parkinson.org Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Monday, January 16, 2017 at Restland Funeral Home. Services will be held at 12:30 PM, Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at Restland Wildwood Chapel.
