Bobbie Ruth Coleman McDonald (93) of Garland, Texas was born March 28th, 1926 and entered the gates of heaven on August 7th, 2019. Bobbie was born to Hiles Ray and Bessie Coleman, in Dallas, Texas.She married William Luther McDonald in 1948 and their loving union lasted 60 years. Bobbie was a registered nurse and was a member of First Baptist Church of Garland for more than 50 years, where she was active in Sunday School, and senior choir.Bobbie was preceded in death by her devoted husband Luther; her parents, Hiles Ray and Bessie and her brother, Hiles Ray Coleman Jr., all of Dallas. Bobbie is survived by her son, Stephen McDonald and wife Cinda of Dallas; daughters, Susan Whigham and husband Terry of Richardson and Carol Hataway of Garland. Additionally, Bobbie has 7 grandchildren, Greg and Brent Whigham, Emily Heisey, Steven, Christopher, Kevin, and Brian Hataway, as well as 3 great-grandchildren.Funeral service will be on Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at 11:00 AM in the Cockrell Chapel at First Baptist Church in Garland. Visitation will take place one hour prior from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church in Garland.
