Bobbie Jean Odom's Obituary
Bobbie Jean Odom was born on September 11, 1925 to Ben and Robbie Mae Gentle near Boliver, Texas. She passed away on June 25, 2025 at the age of 99 years in Mansfield, Texas. She was raised in the city of Dallas. In 1941 she married Doyle Wheeler and they had one son. Her husband died in combat in World War II.
In 1947 she married A. G. Odom to whom she was married until his death in 2004 . They had three sons. Bobbie was a housewife and devoted mother and, later in life assisted her husband in his accounting practice. She was a gracious lady and often reached out to minister to others. It was often said that "she never met a stranger."
She was a life long member of the Methodist Church. She was deeply loved and will be very much missed by her friends and family, however, they also rejoice that she is free from suffering and now with her Savior. Bobbie is survived by her four sons, Bobby Doyle Odom and his wife Peggy of Temple, Texas, Gregory Glen Odom and his wife Diana of Grand Prairie, Texas, Mark Benjamin Odom and his wife Debbie of Grand Prairie, Texas , and Christopher Waide Odom and his wife Gina of Grandbury, Texas, eight grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren.
