Bobbie Lue (Calverley) Swindle was born on August 9, 1931 in Frisco, Texas to J.R. & Ellen Calverley
Bobbie married Patrick Swindle in April of 1950. They had two sons: Gary Patrick and Cary Mark. Pat passed away in December of 2015 after a 15 yr struggle with Parkinson's. They were married for 65 years.
Bobbie is survived by her sons, Gary (Rita) and Cary (Norma). She was Grandmother to Toby (Amie), Greg (Robin), Cory, Margaret Jones (Dan), Matthew (Linden), Haley Miller and Cole Miller. She was great Grandmother to Lora, Stella, Samantha, Amelia, Arabella, Phoebe, Lydia, Melody, and Dominick. She is also survived by her sister, Betty Sue Howard, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by granddaughter Lora Leigh Swindle as well as her brothers John Edward Calverley, Robert Mitchell Calverley and Billy Samuel Calverley.
Bobbie lived a full and productive life spending 35yrs working with John Deere and 20 years representing Boars Head Meats where she met so many new friends and became the trainer for new employees.
Bobbie was a longtime member of the First Methodist Church of Carrollton, attending weekly until June of this year. She loved her church and was so blessed by her Sunday School class and teacher.
A very special thanks to her many friends who took time out to visit her, pray with her, bring her special treats, and keep her company. Also special thanks to the Atria Assisted Living facility in Carrollton (where she enjoyed having meals with Mary Kleypas and Don). We also are so grateful to the Arabella Palliative and Hospice Care which took such loving care of her in her final days.
