Bobby Lynn Billings' Obituary
Bobby Lynn Billings was born on February 21, 1941, in Vernon, Texas, to Leonard Edward Billings and Johnnie Lou Grimes.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Anna Marie Grundman; and his brother, John Carroll Billings.
He is survived by his sister, Reva Jean Ballard of Dallas, Texas; his three daughters, Beth Billings of Payne Springs, Texas, Brenda Stanley and her husband Joe of Garland, Texas, and Belinda Davis and her husband Michael of Edgewood, Texas; twelve grandchildren, Kody Billings and Bethany, Korey Nix, Joshua Davis and Makayla, Jared Davis, Annika Burnett and her husband Bailey, Pam Stanley and Jason, and Trisha Marsden and her husband Nick; and twelve great-grandchildren, Kai, Sabre, Theo, Jett, Sophie, Panther, Sienna, Fox, Zeva, Lumi, Breanna Facca and her husband Marc.
Bobby graduated from Rylie High School and attended East Texas State University for two years. Following college, he joined the United States Air Force, where he worked in supply. While stationed in California, he met the love of his life, and they were married on August 14, 1965.
After completing his military service, Bobby returned to Texas and worked as a machine operator at Decker for 19 years. He later returned to school to study electronics and went on to work as a technician repairing circuit boards and video equipment, a career he enjoyed until his retirement in 2007.
Family was the center of Bobby’s life. He was deeply devoted to his grandchildren and took great pride in being present for their extracurricular activities, always supporting them in every endeavor. He had a lifelong love of soccer, coaching youth league teams for several years and even playing himself when he could.
In his quieter moments, Bobby enjoyed watching television, especially NASCAR and his favorite shows. From time to time, you could even catch him watching Hallmark movies.
Bobby Lynn Billings will be remembered for his devotion to his family, his strong work ethic, and the steady, loving presence he provided to all who knew him.
Visitation will be held at 9:30 a.m., followed by funeral services at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at Restland Funeral Home, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75243.
