Bobby Lynn Cantrell's Obituary
Bobby Lynn (Dick) Cantrell was born on October 20, 1935 in Fannin County, TX to James Henry and Esther Lou Avants Cantrell. He passed from this life October 15, 2023. Dick retired from Continental Emsco (LTV) after 40 years. He was known for his ready laugh, his jovial disposition, his love of ranching and sports. He was kind, patient, and devoted to loving God, country, his wife, family and children. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Rose Woodard Cantrell; Children: Vicki Cantrell, children Sean and Deanna; Robert Daniel Cantrell (Debbie) his daughter Megan Schuff (Rickey), children Montgomery and Shelby; Carl Dean Cantrell (Lupe), his daughter Carlee. Stepchildren: Jim Thomas (Kathy), children Sara Lee (Steve), children Addison, Wyatt, and Brandon; Kristin Thomas (Jason Fickman); Shannon Hunter (Zach), daughter Berkley; Gail Thomas Erger (Robert) children Rob Erger (Erin) children Robby, John Henry, and Emma Rose; James Erger (Samantha) children Malachi, Demi, and Micah. He is also survived by sisters Paula Jean McEuen (dec. Luke), Renee Joyce Finn (dec. John) and Patsy Scholl (Bob) and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother Wilbur Lee “Dub” Cantrell (Cindy) and William Henry “Dutch” Cantrell (dec. Cora).
