Bobby Don Clayton's Obituary
CLAYTON, BOBBY DON born in Dallas, TX, on August 2, 1941, died on January 9, 2008 after a lengthy battle with melanoma cancer. Bobby surrendered his life to Christ as a young boy and was ready to meet his Lord and Savior. He was preceded in death by his parents Lawrence R. and Donnie (Witcher) Clayton and brother Ben Jack Clayton. Survivors include his wife of 38 years Shirley (Coulter) Clayton and his two companions Maxx and Allie. Bob served two years in the U.S. Army then began his life long career in transportation. He worked numerous management positions during 28 years with Greyhound Lines in Dallas and San Antonio and was District Superintendent for Coach USA/Kerrville Bus in Houston and San Antonio for 12 years. Other survivors include his mother-in-law Marcella Goodwin, sister-in-law Karon Clayton, sister-in-law Pat Andres (Steve) and brother-in-law Howard Coulter (Cindy), nieces Jill Clayton, Tyler Clayton Lisa Gilman (Vince), Stephanie Givens (Jeffery), Marcie Huizar (John), nephews Byron Andres (Tami), Duke Goodwin, Aunt Pat Clayton, numerous cousins and great nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Dr. Stephen Cohen and his staff for seven years of wonderful care and compassion. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 13th from 6 to 8 pm at Restland Funeral Home. Service will be January 14th at 12:30 at Restland Wildwood Chapel, 13005 Greenville Ave., Dallas, TX. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to either the American Cancer Society, Diamond Dachshund Rescue, PO Box 293122, Kerrville, TX 78029, or the charity of your choice.
