Bobby Grey Harrison's Obituary
Bobby Grey Harrison, age 96 of Dallas, Texas went to be with his Lord on April 27,2025.
He was the youngest son of W.A. and Ruth Harrison born on January 6,1929 in Dallas. He married Mildred Goins in 1949, celebrating 68 years of marriage before her passing in 2018. He was a proud Army veteran having served during the Korean war. Upon his return to the States, he climbed the rungs of his 40-year long career ladder becoming the managerial head of the accounting department of Royal Insurance.
Throughout the 70’s, Bobby preached at the Laguna Park Church of Christ. Later in life, he served faithfully as a deacon for 20 years at the Prestoncrest Church of Christ, continuing to email sermons to family and friends up until the end of his life. He enjoyed creating beautiful woodworking projects, often using logs of wood he discovered during family trips to Redstone, Colorado, fishing for rainbow trout, and playing endless games of dominos with quiet domination.
Bobby will always be remembered as Dad to his daughters, Dandy to his granddaughters, and forever greatly missed. Bobby Harrison is survived by two daughters, Janet Jones (Carlton) of Dallas, and Jennifer Powell (Eric) of Garland; and three granddaughters, Mara Adams (Nelson), Lauren Powell and Melissa Powell. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Mildred Goins Harrison, and his brother W.A. Harrison, Jr.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, May 17, 2025 at Prestoncrest Church of Christ located at 6022 Preston Crest Ln Dallas, Texas 75230.
