Bobby Dean Hogue
Bobby Dean Hogue, born September 2, 1937 to Sydney Louis and Bessie Lucille Hogue, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on May 15, 2022. He was 84 years old. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Barbara Ann Bingham Hogue, daughter DeAnn Hogue Tucker and son-in-law Michael Joseph Tucker, grandchildren Spencer Elizabeth Tucker and Cameron Blake Tucker, son Danny Ray Hogue, grandson Daniel Dean Hogue, daughters Dana Kay Ivey, Sherry Lynn Main and Karen Sue Davidson, and many nieces and nephews.
In his early years, Bobby grew up in Dallas, Texas, graduated from Forest Avenue High School in 1955, and later attended Richland College. He proudly served in the Army and was stationed in Korea in the 1960s.
Before his service in the Army he became a journeyman butcher at the young age of 19. As a result, after his military service, he became a meat department manager for many years until his retirement.
Bobby was a fun-loving, happy man who was loved by so many people. He made friends wherever he went. His favorite activity was travel, and he loved camping all over the US and cruising the oceans. He always made time to explore the United States by car and/or motorhome, which lead him to almost all of the 48 contiguous United States. He became a full-time traveler with his best travelling companion, his wife Barbara, for many years after retirement. He always had a funny joke or story to tell, was loved by all and his joyful presence will be missed.
Bobby will be interred at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery in Arlington, Texas at a date to be determined. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wounded Warrior Family Support https://www.wwfs.org
