Bobby Gene Miller Sr.'s Obituary
Bobby Gene Miller, Sr. was born in Athens, Texas on August 28, 1933, to Lillie Jean and Robert Nelson Miller. He passed away on June 28, 2024, at the age of 90, in Richardson, Texas.
As a teenager, Bobby played roller hockey, took pride in his work at Varo Electronics, and graduated from Garland High School. He would continue his education at Southern Methodist University. Bobby treasured his Harley Davidson motorcycle. However, in August of 1954, he would trade that motorcycle in for something he would treasure for the rest of his life: his beloved wife, Nina.
Nina and Bobby would be married by Bro. Charles Thomas in Farmersville, Texas. Together, the couple would remain dedicated members of Rodger's Baptist Church throughout their lives. They also enjoyed roller-skating, snow skiing, and vacationing in Red River, New Mexico. Bobby had a special place in his heart for his antique John Deere Tractor, but more than anything, Bobby loved his family. He co-owned Miller Electric Company with his siblings and was always excited to see his family grow.
Bobby is preceded in death by his parents, Lillie Jean and Robert Nelson Miller; brothers, Jim Paul Miller and Ben Robert Miller; and sister, Sally Pearl Harper and husband, Louis.
Bobby is survived by his wife, Nina Miller; son, Bobby Gene Miller, Jr, and wife, June; son, Mark Miller and wife, Cyndi; daughter, Michelle Griffin and husband, Jeff; grandchildren, April Langley and husband, Cory; Matthew Miller and wife, Jamie; Russell Miller and wife, Laura; Nathan Griffin and wife, Abby; and Zachary Griffin and wife, Tori. His memory is also carried on by his great grandchildren, Hunter, Avery, Trent, Tatum, Noah, Eden, Addie Jean, and Everett; step great grandchildren, Whitney, Matt, and Meagan; sisters, Marilyn Miller and Betty Sue Szkromiuk and husband, Bill; siblings-in-law, Shirley Miller, Billie Miller; and many nieces and nephews.
