Bonita Marie Loxterman (nee Walter) passed away on May 1, 2024, at the age of 83 in Rowlett, Texas. She was born on February 17, 1941, in Great Bend, KS.
Bonnie, as she was affectionately known, was a woman of many admirable qualities. She was stubborn yet respected, with a no-nonsense approach to life. She had a heart of gold and was a loyal and supportive friend to everyone she met. She would give you the shirt off of her own back, but you would hear about it first. Her loyalty, support, and dependability made her a friend for life to many.
Bonnie exemplified an unrelenting work ethic. She valued the importance of being there for her loved ones and dedicated herself to ensuring their well-being.
Her personal interests included traveling the country in her camper, competing in chili cook-offs, and tending to her yard. An avid reader, she cherished her time outdoors and took pleasure in collecting foxes of all types.
Matriarch to a thriving family, Bonnie is survived by her children, Billy Bowman and his wife Tina Jo, Tamara Kavanagh, Michelle Clark and her husband Tony, Mitzi Waters, and Toni Bowman, as well as her 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Loxterman III.
Bonnie's life was marked by an unshakeable loyalty and unforgettable camaraderie, with a distinctive blend of firmness and warmth. Her memory will be held in the hearts of friends and family as an enduring beacon of the love and resilience that defined her spirit.
