Bonnie Lee Giunta's Obituary
Bonnie (Kraft) Giunta passed away on June 18th in her home in Rockwall, Texas, after a long battle with cancer while surrounded by her loved ones. Bonnie was 58. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM, Friday, June 20, 2008 at Restland Memorial Chapel with a rosary at 7:00 PM. Service will be 10:00 AM, Saturday, June 21, 2008 at Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 1305 Damascus Road, Rockwall, TX 75087. Bonnie will be interred at Restland Memorial Park. Bonnie was a native of Bismarck, ND, and graduated from Cathedral Grade School, St. Mary’s High School, and the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, ND. Bonnie married Frank Giunta on June 17, 1972 at the Cathedral of the Holy Spirit in Bismarck, ND. Bonnie and Frank spent four years in Germany while Frank served in the U.S. Army. While stationed in Landstuhl, Germany, Bonnie worked for the U.S. Corps of Engineers as an Administrator and after Frank was transferred to Ausburg, Germany, she worked as the Administrative Assistant of Pathology at the U.S. Hospital. Upon their return to the United States, Bonnie became an Assistant Administrator at a San Antonio Hospital, while Frank attained his law degree. They then moved to Dallas, Texas, where Bonnie was an Administrator with Brentwood Properties, a Real Estate Development Company until 1988 when she became a mother. Bonnie was very athletic, taking part in gymnastics, skating, skiing and swimming, as well as hunting and fishing. Her hobbies included sewing, cooking and reading. Bonnie’s main focus in life was her husband and children. Bonnie is survived by Frank, her husband of 36 years; her son, Jordan, 20, and her daughter, Jacki, 15, both at home; her parents, Alexander and Adeline Kraft, from Mandan, ND; brothers, Dennis, (Linda), Hill City, SD and Gary, (Diann), Bismarck, ND; sisters Alix, (Ron), Kettleson, Olympia, WA; and Linda, (Joe), Smith, Ramsey, MN; her parents-in-law, Marino and Frances Giunta, Glen Ellyn, IL; sisters-in-law Josephine, (Ed), Lohnes, Minneapolis, MN, and Carol Giunta, Austin, TX; brother-in-law, Steven, (Bridget) Giunta, Austin, TX and numerous uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, and many special friends, and grand-nephews and nieces. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the many health care professionals and VISTACARE Hospice for their caring and compassionate services. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
