Brady Claude Slate Jr's Obituary
Born June 20, 1922 in Gouldbusk, TX and passed away on April 17, 2009 in Dallas, TX. He graduated Mozell High School in Mozell, TX, and went on to attend Tarleton State University in Stephenville, TX , Draughn Business College in Abilene, TX, and Westminster Bible College in Dallas, TX. Brady retired from Crum and Forster Insurance Company, and was a Minister in the East Dallas Congregational Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Lois Crisp Slate; sister, Rose Ester Slate; and brother, Eugene Slate. He is survived by daughter, Patricia Slate; sons, Ronnie Slate, Danny Slate and wife Karen, and Craig Slate and his wife Tanya; grandchildren: Ashley Valdez, Kristina Slate, Laura Sla te, Brady Granger Slate, and James Slate; great-grandchildren: Carlos Valdez, Jessica Valdez, Zoe Valdez, and Eve Valdez; and brothers, Johnnie Slate and his wife Hazel, and Archie Slate and his wife Pat. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful. And now the prize awaits me– the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day–and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for His appearing.
