Brice Isvaldo Perez's Obituary
Brice Isvaldo Perez, 22, passed away unexpectedly on Dec. 3, 2022.
Brice was born on March 24, 2000 in Costa Rica to Michele Healey Perez and Isvaldo Perez Jr. With a high aptitude for science, he had a knack for figuring out the way machines functioned and loved constructing simple machines. He also loved watching movies, and was particularly fond of the Star Wars series.
Brice was known by friends and family as a kind-hearted, hard-worker who often took extra shifts at the restaurants in which he worked. Friends and co-workers said he had a servant’s nature, and had strong empathy for others.
Brice graduated from St. Monica Catholic School and attended Jesuit Preparatory School of Dallas and the Shelton School, where he was a member of the basketball team. After graduating high school, Brice acquired a love of horses and enjoyed learning various training and horsemanship techniques.
He is preceded in death by his mother and maternal grandparents, Colleen and Joseph Healey of Denver; and paternal grandfather Isvaldo Perez, of Miami. He is survived by his father, stepmother, Anne Perez; brothers Cameron and Kalen Perez, stepbrothers Andrew and Alexander Gesalman (Katherine), all of Dallas; paternal grandmother , Miriam Perez of Miami; uncle Richard Perez (Michele) and cousins Gavin, Brianna and McKenna Perez of Harrington Park, N.J.
A rosary will be said in Brice’s memory at 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 9, at Restland Funeral Home at 13005 Greenville Ave., Dallas, Texas 75243. A funeral mass will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10 at St. Monica Catholic Church, 9933 Midway Road, Dallas, Texas, 75220.
