Brice James Wood's Obituary
Brice James Wood was born on March 11, 1988 in Dallas, Texas. Brice attended Hyer Elementary School, Eagle Mountain Elementary School, Wayside Middle School and graduated from W.E. Boswell High School in 2006. Brice attended Del Mar College in Corpus Christi where he earned a certificate in culinary arts. Recently, he was working on his degree in transportation engineering at San Jacinto College in Pasadena, Texas. As a child, Brice spent his summers at Camp Longhorn at Inks Lake and later became a camp counselor. He was a professional chef and a talented skateboarder, snowboarder and wake boarder. He enjoyed fishing, spending time at the Gulf Coast, working on cars and motorcycles and attending live music events. Brice is preceded in death by his father, Dr. James Clifford Wood, grandfather, Louis Blackwell Read and grandmother, Shirley Wood. Brice is survived by his mother, Dr. Phyllis Wood; his stepfather, Thomas Thornton; his brother, Louis Clifford Wood and wife, Candace; his sister, Kathryn Cochran and husband, Christopher, and his beloved nephews, Zachary Cochran and Andrew Cochran; grandmother, Hazel Read and grandfather, Bill Wood. Brice will be remembered by family and countless friends for his humor and quick wit, his compassion, his love for animals, and his love for the sea
