Brooksie Jeanne Agnich's Obituary
Our precious angel went to Heaven on Tuesday, April 26. Brooksie Jeanne Carnes Penland Agnich was born on December 15, 1932 in Dallas, Texas, to Bessylee Dolton and DeWitt Carnes. She passed away with her family by her side. She is preceded in death by her father DeWitt Carnes, her mother, Bessylee D. Penland and her adoptive father, Buford Penland. Her husband of 30 years, Honorable Fred J. Agnich, also preceded her. She is survived by her five children, Pebble Fry, Annette Vaden and her son, Travis Vaden, Julia and her children, Brandon Gonzales (Mary Kate) and Heather Griffith (Chris), Raymond Willie and his two daughters, Brooklyn and Raylee Willie, and Brook Willie. She is also survived by her two brothers, DeWitt Carnes and Mark Carnes and her cousin and friend, Ginger Seeligson and her 4 children. Her beautiful sparkling eyes, her infectious laughter and her inner beauty and grace will be missed by all. She was born in Dallas at Baylor Hospital and delivered by her uncle, Dr. Ray Thomasson. She graduated from Sunset High School and attended Gulf Park University in Mississippi. She was a flight attendant for Braniff Airlines, but soon married and had her 5 children. She was a wonderful mother, daughter, grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend. Her culinary skills never ceased to amaze her family and friends. She loved to dream up a gourmet meal and her home was always open to anyone who was hungry or just wanted to visit. She and Fred had a wonderful marriage and traveled the world fishing and exploring. She never met a stranger. Mother, we will miss you so much, but we know that you will be reunited with your loved ones in heaven, and we will be there to join you when the Lord calls us home, too. Your memory will forever be in our hearts and we will always have a smile on our faces and act like the ladies and gentlemen that you taught us to be. Visitation is at Restland Funeral Home on Monday, May 2 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Private burial is Tuesday, May 3. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243. If you wish to make donations, we would recommend Operation Kindness, 3201 Earhart Dr., Carrollton 75006 or the charity of your choice.
