Broscoe Robert Bright III's Obituary
Broscoe, affectionately known as “Robert” was born March 26, 1955 to Broscoe and Jeanene Bright. He was the oldest of five siblings. Robert graduated from L.V. Berkner High School where he excelled in basketball and football. He also attended the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas. Robert worked several years for Texas Instruments and retired from the United States Postal Service after over 25 years of dedication. Robert was an avid sports fan. He had matching caps and jerseys for his favorite teams: The Cowboys, Mavericks, Rangers and the Texas Longhorns. If you gave Robert a sports cap, he’d wear it. He enjoyed playing tennis, and watching and attending many sporting events. Robert was well known among the family for his “Rob-B-Q and his girls’ favorite were his “Daddy Burgers”. Robert appreciated all genres of music. Among his favorites were jazz, Prince and the Beatles. Robert’s two beautiful daughters, Brittney and Jasmine were the loves of his life. He shared his fascination of history and sci-fi with Brittney and enjoyed “turnin up” with Jasmine. Robert also spent time watching Brittney as a cheerleader and Jasmine praise dancing. Robert was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Wanda Gail Bright and his brother-in-law, Wayne G. Wiley. He leaves to cherish his memory, his daughters, Brittney and Jasmine; his siblings, Arlene, David (Karen) and Gerald (Janice); his aunt, Bernice and a host of family and friends. GO COWBOYS, MAVERICKS, RANGERS AND LONGHORNS! Family will receive friends on Sunday, April 10, 2016 from 6- 8 PM at Restland Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Monday, April 11, 2016 at 10 AM at the Memorial Chapel at Restland Funeral Home.
