Bruce Murchison Donnell's Obituary
Bruce M. Donnell, 84, was born February 8, 1924, in Dallas, Texas, and died December 23, 2008, at C.C. Young in Dallas, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents Leonard Joe Donnell, Sr., and Jessie May Donnell, one brother, Joe Donnell, and three sisters, Lura Riley, Peggy Burney and Dorothy Bradley. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Mary Lou Donnell; his daughter Drenna and her husband Hoyt Cannon of Warner Robins, GA; his son Michael Donnell and wife Jackie of Forney, TX; his daughter Debbie and her husband Mike Speer of Crandall, TX; his son Jeff Donnell and wife Alison of Miami, FL. Also surviving him are six grandchildren, Gentry Roberts and Kayren Cannon of Bonaire, GA; Torrie Deville of Heartland, TX; Taylor Speer of Crandall, TX; and Tara and Todd Donnell. Other survivors are his great grandchildren, Hunter and Jakob Roberts, and Elizabeth and Jay Oliver of Bonaire, GA. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Gladys Donnell; his niece Gail Eldredge of Midlothian, TX, nephew Lanny Donnell of Fort Worth, and niece Billie Joe Ebert of Emery, TX. Bruce worked at Harrell’s Pharmacy in the Lakewood area of Dallas for over 20 years and was very popular with their customers. He retired after 15 years as a courier for Pearle Optical in 1992. Funeral service is December 29th at 12:30 in the Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. Those who desire may make contributions in Bruce’s memory to the charity of their choice.
