Bruce Robert Johnson's Obituary
Bruce Robert Johnson passed away on September 4, 2023 after a short illness.
He was born and raised in Chicago, IL in 1934 to Robert and Luella Johnson. Bruce served in the Army in Korea 1954-1956. He graduated from the University of Illinois and was a member of Alpha Tau Omega fraternity.
While in college, he met and married his sweetheart for life in 1957. The family moved to Dallas in 1966 and in 1974 he founded Johnson Sales Associates, which has continued on with his son David.
His passions after family were quail hunting and fishing. He was an outdoorsman with amazing trips to Canada, Mexico, and the Amazon River. He also enjoyed numerous family vacations on South Padre Island.
Bruce is preceded in death by his father and mother; sister, Barbara Atwater; and sister Bonnie Harbin.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Johnson; son, Scott and wife Cherri; son, David and wife Donann; daughter, Lauren and husband Brian; grandsons, Garrett Johnson, Dawson Johnson, Austin Jones and wife Katelyn, Brock Jones and wife Kylie, Trent Jones and girlfriend Margaret McAnulty; great-granddaughter, Sayla Jones; and numerous nieces and nephews.
