Bruce James Stephan's Obituary
Bruce James Stephan was born in Buffalo, New York on September 26, 1948 to his parents Fredrick F. Stephan and Verna E. Miller. Bruce passed away on February 7, 2019 in Plano, Texas at the age of 70. Bruce served his country in the Air Force from August of 1966 to August of 1977. He also served his country in the Army from December of 1970 to January of 1987. He was a Telecommunications Technical Trainer for 27 years. Bruce was a member of the American Legion and he also volunteered at various times with Cil.Bruce’s first marriage to Mary Ellen Stephan was dissolved on May 27, 1983 in Ft. Lauderdale, Broward County, Florida. They had one daughter together, whom they adopted, Mandy Renee Stephan. At the time of his death, Bruce and Mandy were sadly estranged for 20 plus years. Bruce’s second marriage to Olivia Fay Stephan was dissolved on April 14, 1999 in Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas. They had one daughter together, Heather Melissa Stephan. By Heather, Bruce had one grandson, Jacob Alan Smyers.Bruce moved to Texas in 1997; first moving to Fort Worth and than later residing in Richardson, Dallas, and Plano, Texas. His hobbies and interests included football, baseball, computer gaming, volunteering, and 1/35 military modeling.Bruce is survived by his daughter, Heather M. Stephan of Addison, Texas, his grandson, Jacob A. Smyers, and his brother, Brian G. Stephan of Bellevue, Nebraska.No services are scheduled thru Restland.
