Bruce Thedford's Obituary
Bruce Wayne Thedford, age 56, Sachse, Texas, passed unexpectedly March 27, 2020, from injuries sustained in ATV accident in Muse, Oklahoma.
Bruce was born May 19, 1963, Dyersburg, TN grew up there with many brothers, sisters and cousins.
Bruce was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend to everyone. He was a selfless man who loved giving to others whether it be to family or friends. He loved to entertain all of our family and friends. Bruce was known for his long, entertaining stories, which he loved to repeat often. We all have many memories with this man which will be carried out for the rest of our lives. He will be dearly missed by all of his family, his many life-long friends and all others whose lives he touched with his generosity, kindness and wonderful spirit.
Bruce loved sports; all sports; he was very competitive especially on the golf course (just ask his friends that he took many of dollars from them). He enjoyed life in general; from hanging out on his patio, traveling, boating, bowling, movies, camping and working on various projects around his house which he loved. He was so very proud of our home and what we
accomplished in making it our own.
Bruce was the proud Owner of Doc’s Agricultural for the last 11 years. He started his work/hustling job at a very early age from collecting/selling coke bottles to throwing newspapers. He went to school at Lake County High School in Dyersburg, TN and then moved to Texas after graduation. He has worked many jobs in his career from construction to landscaping and little of everything in between.
Bruce is survived by his wife of 10 years, Tabatha Thedford, his sons Zachary Thedford and Nicholas Thedford and step-daughter Ashley Moore and husband Gary Moore and grandchildren Keegan and Kooper Moore; two sisters Elaine Williams of Dyersburg, TN and Mary Ann Thedford of Lincolnton, GA.; BIL Kevin Caldwell and SIL Alisa Caldwell; BIL Dennis McClurg and SIL Kim McClurg and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and cousins.
Bruce is preceded in death by mother Ruby Quay Butler Sanders, father Alvis Thedford, brothers Larry Thedford, Timothy Thedford, Leonard Ray Thedford and James Thedford; sister Patricia Thedford; nephew Kevin Burdin and grandparents Eddie and Garland Butler.
Bruce had a life-long love affair with Chip Ahoy Chocolate chip cookies; Blue Bell Cookies and Cream ice cream and Chocolate cake. Bruce had many what we call Bruceisms…his favorite was “I Love It!”
So we will make our final toast to a great; big-hearted; loving man and say Love It! Till we see
each other again.
In lieu of flowers; give to your favorite charity or plant a tree/flowers on his behalf.
