Bryan Alan Hansard's Obituary
Bryan Alan Hansard was born July 17, 1956 in Odessa, Texas to Fred and Mary (Phillips) Hansard. He was raised in Odessa where he loved to fish, eat at the cafeteria every Sunday after church, ride in the family’s old model T and tease his younger brother Danny. Bryan played percussion in the Permian High School Marching Band and was Band Captain in his Senior Year. His love and support for the Panthers and Mojo magic lasted a lifetime. Bryan graduated from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, TX where he was active in his fraternity TKE. One year after graduation, Bryan was living in Dallas & had started his own business Southern Computer Supply, providing computer tech services to businesses and employing 12 people. In September 1992 he moved to South Florida with his new wife Jennifer. In Florida, Bryan focused on two of his greatest joys, raising his two Daughters Rachel & Melissa, and his music. He taught private drum lessons and played in multiple bands, including the Church worship band where Rachel would accompany him. He coached softball and delighted in teaching Melissa how to fish. Bryan loved music, fishing, animals, sports and the outdoors. In 2016, Bryan moved back to Dallas where he reconnected with family and friends from his Texas roots, including his beloved Dallas Cowboys. In 2022, Bryan took his dream trip to Alaska catching and bringing home over 50 lbs. of Salmon. Bryan will be remembered for his passion for music, sense of humor, love for his family and as a loyal friend. We take comfort in knowing Bryan is now playing in the heavenly band, drumming for all of eternity. He is proceeded in death by his father, Fred Hansard Jr. He is survived by his mother Mary, brother Danny, Daughters Rachel and Melissa.
