Byron Trotter Ahlburn's Obituary
Byron Trotter Ahlburn was born February 1, 1939 in Cincinatti, Ohio and passed away May 27, 2015. He was preceded in death by his father, Byron E. Ahlburn; mother, Veta T. Ahlburn and daughter-in-law Patricia Ahlburn.He is survived by his wife, Carol; son, Andrew of Bonaire, GA; granddaughter, Krysten Burris; great grandchildren, Kyliee and Eli of CA.; granddaughter, Laura Ozmore of CO. Byron graduated from Yale University, received his Phd in Physics from Purdue. He retired from TI as a distinguished member of Technical staff. He married Carol Vilter on June 15, 1963 in Cincinatti, OH. He was a devoted husband and father and a man of faith and integrity. He was an active member of St. Barnabas Presbyterian Church where he served as a deacon and ruling elder. He volunteered as a tutor at Old City Park School and was a Big Brother. He was a passionate volunteer for Richardson area Interfaith Habitat and Dallas area Habitat for Humanity. The service for Byron Ahlburn will be held on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at 1:30 PM at St. Barnabas Presbyterian Church. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243 In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Barnabas Generation Project; Dallas Area Habitat for Humanity; Alzheizmer’s Association of Greater Dallas.
