Callie M. Torrence's Obituary
Callie M. Torrence was born on June 13, 1933 to Nugent Miller and Ida Lee Rhodes. She was their only child. Callie was raised in Henderson County, Texas and accepted Christ at an early age. The family moved to Dallas, Texas where Callie attended DISD schools. She graduated from Booker T. Washington High School and then went on to graduate, with a degree in nursing, from Dillard University. She moved to Los Angeles, California where she met and married James Torrence. No children were brought into this union. Callie is preceded in death by her parents and loving aunt, Viola Govan of Los Angeles, California and her husband, James Torrence. Left to remember her and cherish her memories are her cousins, Tommie Lee Fields, Claude Miller, Edith Faye Lintz, Linda Faye Bell, David Lee Darty, Alamo Walton Jr., Mark Anthony Walton and a host of relatives and friends. The visitation for Callie will be from 06:00 to 08:00 PM on Friday, December 19, 2014 at Restland Funeral Home. The funeral service for Callie will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 20, 2014 in The Memorial Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75238 at Restland Road.
