Calvin Jackson's Obituary
Calvin Jackson was born on February 28, 1934 to the parentage of the late Johnnie and Nadine (Woodard) Jackson in Arcadia, Louisiana. He was one of 15 children. After a courageous battle with cancer, Calvin passed away peacefully at his home in Forney, Texas at 1:25 pm, on April 25, 2009. He met and united in holy matrimony with Ms. Rose Jeffery and raised her 3 children. Together, they were blessed with two children, a daughter and son. Later, Calvin moved to Houston, Texas. There, he met and united in holy matrimony with Ms. Emma J. Washington and raised her 4 children, two boys and two girls. Calvin was a true and devoted Christian. He always shared a smile and a funny comment to all he met. Calvin was a special gift from God, who allowed us to love and enjoy him for 75 years. He was preceded in death by his mother, Nadine Jackson; father, Johnnie Jackson; stepson, Aubrey Estes; and four brothers – Alvin Jackson, Gary Jackson, Charles Jackson and Johnny Jackson.
