Wow,lived next door to a hero and didnt even know it.Being a veteran myself and know only what I do know of that war it would have been an honor to hear what he as such a young man endured to fight and survive in the war he was in.I salute him
I remember having family gatherings at the Lewis house when I was a little girl. Mr. & Mrs. Lewis always treated all the Huerta family grandkids as if they were their own. I will always remember Mr. Lewis as a kind and caring friend of the Huerta family that was family.
It is very hard to loose a parent even when they have had a full life. You are in our thoughs and heart. Remember the good times.
