Calvin Thomas Stamper Sr.'s Obituary
Born March 15, 1934 in Dallas, Texas to Lois and Claude Stamper. Passed away unexpectedly on June 12, 2007. He lived life to the fullest and believed a man should work as hard as he possibly can. Served in the Korean War from 1951-1953 and as a proud Marine till 1955. He was an Engineering Specialist in the Metallic Materials group at Bell Helicopter. Cal’s career at Bell spanned more than four decades, starting in 1964. He worked with countless Bell Helicopter suppliers to improve and develop their products. Cal’s dedication and commitment to quality contributed to the success of numerous Bell Helicopter military products such as the Huey, Cobra, and V-22. His job at Bell Helicopter was his passion. Cal was a great man, highly respected by all that knew him. The world was a much better place with him. He will be truly missed. A caring and loving father to daughter, Cathy Teel and spouse, Michael Salisbury; son Calvin Stamper Jr. (Tom) and spouse Lori Stamper and son David Stamper. A wonderful and proud grandfather to Candi Dodd. Casey Teel, Calvin Stamper III (Ryan), Ashley Arias, and Vanessa Arias. Husband to Evelyn Stamper for 48 years. Survived by sister, Annette Pessin and brother, William Eugene Stamper. preceded in death by granddaughter, Mandi Dodd.
