I remember Candy as the sweet girl from Lancaster High. I recently told Candy that I loved her because she was my sister in Christ! When she smiled, rays of sunshine seemed to be around her. She was so full of love! A life well lived doing what Christ loved....taking care of His children. She is happy now and free of earthly chains! No more sadness or pain. I will always be thankful that I knew Candy!
Candy was probably one of the sweetest people I ever met. Her heart for children in hard places spoke to me as a fellow social worker. I appreciate her and the whole group from Lancaster taking me in and being able to go to Latvia 3x together. So greatful to know she is with Jesus now and we will see her again! Love and prayers to her family and friends.
I feel like Candy was a big part of my life, when I was working for Will. So sorry for your loss, am praying for God to bring comfort to your family. She will be greatly missed. Love to this family, Ed and Jane Green
In the 1950's, a goodly number of children, somewhat reminiscent of the “Little Rascals,” grew up on N. Crest. They, including Candy and her siblings, were an energetic, adventuring, creative bunch who could quickly think up something fun to do, maybe not always safe but definitely fun. Summers were best-- when late afternoons into evenings were spent amassing enough coins for the ice cream man, swinging while making up silly songs, playing hide and seek in the enveloping shadows, and lying flat of our backs in the grass being mesmerized by the then easily visible Milky Way and constellations. Candy was an integral part of all of that. After a life well lived, she is now with her Lord, and we remaining Crest kids are blessed with wonderful memories of sharing life with her.

Candy always had such a sweet smile that invited others to be with her. She will be missed.
