Carl was always a friend, from early years in church and school. Our mothers met at First Baptist Church of Plainview in 1945. Always a good friend and a man of Leadership. He will be missed, but never forgotten. I'm God greeted him in Heaven as a "Good and Faithful Servant".
Dear Rita and family, I share your deep loss while we remember how much Carl meant to everyone. He was one of our most loyal, trustworthy, and delightful friends! My late husband, Gene Boyd, and I enjoyed so many good times (including golf games) and conversations with Carl. Another special memory is a personal message of condolence that Carl sent us, after the death of my mother. He had observed my mom's consistent, on-site support for the Plainview (Texas) High School marching band, particularly after football games during the 1950s. I am grateful for Carl's life of thoughtfulness and the examples he set.
