Mr. Carl Raymond Gemsheim's Obituary
GEMSHEIM, CARL R., born on June 23, 1917, to Catherine and Charles Gemsheim in Buffalo, NY. He served with distinction for 4 years in the US Army Air Corps during World War II and was awarded 5 medals during his service in the Asia-Pacific Theater. He was honorably discharged in 1946. Before entering the US Army Air Corps he worked for Texaco Inc. for 4 years and after being discharged, returned to Texaco completing a total of 42 years with the company before retiring. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, LaRue Gemsheim; his son Charles Gemsheim and wife Veta; stepdaughter, Barbara Rice and husband Jim; grandchildren, Alex and Annie Gemsheim, Sheri Williams and husband Rodger; and great-grandchildren, T.J. and Jonathan Turner. Funeral Services will be held Monday, April 23rd at 1:00pm at Restland Abbey Chapel.
