Carl Leroy Householder's Obituary
HOUSEHOLDER, CARL LEROY, 73, loving husband, father, and grandfather. Born September 10, 1936 in Wellsville, Ohio and passed away February 23, 2010 in Dallas, Texas. Carl is survived by wife, Paula; daughters, Rennessa Wilkerson, Carla Brussell and husband Jeff; sons, Michael Householder, Brian Roberts; grandchildren, Courtney Collins, Trey Wilkerson, Blaine Wilkerson, Michael Householder, Dakota Householder, Christa Bruessel, Jessica Bruessel, Joel Bruessel; brothers, Lawrence Householder and Paul Householder; sisters, Betsy Williams and Verna Hamilton; and stepmother, Ruth Householder. He joined the United States Army in 1954 and was honorably discharged in 1957. For more than 25 years Carl was a respected trim contractor in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area and served as a disaster relief adjuster out of state. Carl was an avid fisherman and once caught a 96lb Sailfish or “Papa’s Fish” as it was known by his family. Carl’s second best friend was Morgan, his miniature white schnauzer who was ever faithful and stayed by his side the morning this tradgedy began. “Papa”, as he was lovingly called by his grandchildren, was a strong, fathiful, and driven man who loved his family unconditionally. He was a precious friend and confidant to many and will be missed dearly. He knew the Lord as his personal savior and we all know we will have a special angel smiling down on us from now on. He promised “Nana” he would keep a spot warm 🙂 We love you Carl, “Papa”, forever and always.
